Call for Video Animator and Editor: Whistleblowing Explainer Series
As part of its knowledge translation and advocacy strategy, the Protecting and Promoting Whistleblowing in South Africa (PPW) project will produce a series of short Whistleblower Explainer Animation Videos to communicate key research findings, policy messages, and practical guidance in a clear, accessible, and engaging way. In this regard, DWF seeks to appoint a Video Animator and Editor to conceptualise, animate, and edit a five-part explainer video series (details and exact themes to be confirmed).
Purpose of the Assignment
The purpose of this assignment is to:
- Translate PPW research and advocacy outputs into engaging, easy-to-understand explainer videos
- Increase public awareness and understanding of whistleblowing in South Africa
- Support advocacy efforts by clearly communicating systemic challenges, rights, responsibilities, and solutions
- Produce high-quality visual content suitable for online dissemination, training, and stakeholder engagement
- Promote a call to action that calls to “Protect Courage” and to “Courage Counts.”

Call for Researcher: PPW Whistleblower Guide
As part of its knowledge translation and advocacy strategy, DWF is seeking a Researcher to produce content for a Whistleblowing Guide to assist potential and existing whistleblowers in navigating the whistleblowing terrain.
The Whistleblower Guide will identify good practice in whistleblowing by developing content to help support whistleblowers understand and know their rights, as well as have access to wider resources and organisations that support whistleblowers within the ecosystem.
The Researcher will:

Produce a high-level, critical and practical advisory guidance to support potential and existing whistleblowers navigate the whistleblowing terrain in South Africa

Promote a call to action to promote, protect and mainstream whistleblowing as an ethical culture and civic duty in democracy-building and in transparent and accountable governance

Develop this Whistleblower Guide to complement existing Whistleblower Guides in South Africa
